PSYC 3010 Research Paper

• You will be responsible for writing a short research paper on a topic from our textbook. This paper will be a minimum of four pages where one page is the title page, one page will be a references page, and two pages minimum for the body of the paper. It is very important that this paper be formatted according to the most current edition (7th) of the APA manual and include a minimum of two sources that come from peer-reviewed journals.

• You may choose any topic that we cover in this class. This can be topics we have already covered or something that will be covered later in the semester.
• This paper should be written in third person as this is consistent with current APA format. You can find many resources in Moodle including resources from the APA website that offer examples along with some presentations by Dr. Megan Lowe on plagiarism and paraphrasing.

• If you are having trouble paraphrasing, please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask for help! Also, sometimes we have trouble paraphrasing when we are having difficulty fully understanding an article. If it is too difficult, you may want to choose a different article or reach out for help.
• Please keep in mind that no AI assistance is to be used and will be considered plagiarism and will result in a grade of 0 and/or a report of academic dishonesty.
