Counseling Career Exploration Paper
Please use the attached continuation of the Case of Jill that you used for your first paper. Part II of the Case of Jill includes the write-up of the results of Jill’s Strong Interest Inventory (interests), Career Beliefs Inventory (values), and MBTI (personality). From Part I, you also have information about Jill’s personality, interests, strengths, and values. Please integrate this information and then select 3 specific career suggestions that you would present to Jill. You will need to select specific career titles and then research the careers (use sources such as O*Net, the OOH and the DOT as well as other sources). Although Jill’s SII will suggest careers, please make sure that the careers you research are consistent with all of Jill’s results (i.e., don’t select the career listed on the SII if it conflicts with her strengths, values, or personality – find ones that fit all of these characteristics).
You can use the introductory paragraph to explain this paper, but you can otherwise assume that we know who Jill is, her background, conceptualization, and results (no need to represent Jill or her results in detail in your paper). Thus, the 4–5-page bulk of your paper will be focused on why the career is a good fit for Jill as well as the research on the career (market demand, locations, training requires, salary outlook, skills needed, etc.).

Caution: DO NOT PLAGIARIZE INFORMATION FROM THE INTERNET. I know that none of you would do this, but every year, some student copies the paper of parts of the paper from the OOH and the Safe Assignment Scan flags the paper. Please, please make sure that you put all information into your own words and cite properly (do not just put quotes around stuff…you do need to learn how to synthesize information and present it to clients without all of the quotes).

Before you start your paper and submit, please check your paper for the following:
- Review the rubric available for this assignment to ensure you meet the requirements.
- Review APA style and any comments in your first paper addressing APA format to ensure you do not repeat the same mistakes. Remember a cover page, title on first full page of text, headers for different sections, and a separate reference page. An abstract is required for this paper.
- Is the paper 4-5 pages about the career options (not including the cover page and reference page)? Review above about an introduction paper and not restating much of what was discussed in the first paper.

- Use 3 resources (not 3 references, but 3 different resources…you may have more references than this) and properly cite the information. If you are providing details on a job, you should have citations for all of that information!!!
- Fully cover the job information and support why this would be a good choice with personal information about Jill?
- Again, remember not to plagiarize – paraphrase information into your own words with corresponding citations to give the authors credit. Very little should be direct quotes as this is not indicative of graduate level writing at this point in the program. You may lose points if you use direct quotes for a significant portion of your paper.
