The Assignment

Analyze evidence from literature and course materials, synthesize the information, and develop a 3-page scholarly response. Apply the following criteria:

  • Reintroduce the identified gap in nursing care delivery quality or safety.
  • Explain the rationale for practice or process change substantiate with evidence from the literature, organizational performance dashboard, scorecard, safety events, or other quality metrics.

  • Analyze the completed Johns Hopkins Organizational Readiness Tool to determine if the selected organization is prepared for a change in quality improvement.
    • Describe the current state of the organizational readiness for quality improvement.
    • What support is present in the organization to support quality improvement, positive patient experiences, and promote health equity?
  • Summarize two scholarly journal articles specific to culture of safety, change management, and/or project management.
  • Critically appraise and synthesize the two selected articles. Apply to the proposed quality improvement initiative and the selected organization.
